Redskins’ Pryor to help out immediately in the redzone

  • The Washington Redskins were overly reliant on TE Jordan Reed catching touchdowns in 2016.
  • Even with their star tight end, the Redskins converted only 33.5 percent of their redzone passes into either a first down or touchdown.
  • WR’s Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson provided important skillsets, but they managed to convert only four of 23 targets for only two touchdowns from the 20 yard line or closer last season.
  • In contrast, newly acquired WR Terrelle Pryor outscored the pair in touchdowns (three), while converting just under 50 percent (six of 13) of his targets in the redzone.
