Redskins Postgame: Team flounders in failing effort against Saints

Some thought that the Redskins would have a chance against the Saints. That didn’t turn out to be the case. The Redskins played very poorly and ended up getting trounced by a final score of 43-19. It was truly a disappointment in a game that they should have at least been competitive in.

Nothing went right for the Redskins. Their offense looked decent early, but the wheels fell off for Alex Smith late in the game. He couldn’t complete a pass in the red zone in the second half and looked as pedestrian as they come. His receivers didn’t help the cause, and Jordan Reed didn’t have a target until the team was already down 27 and well into the third quarter.
