The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that they’ve placed S Montae Nicholson on injured reserve and promoted S Fish Smithson to their active roster.
- The Redskins also signed DL Tavaris Barnes to their practice squad.
The Redskins’ practice squad now consists of:

- OL Anthony Fabiano
- NT Ondre Pipkins
- WR Keenan Reynolds
- OT John Kling
- OT Cameron Jefferson
- LB Alex McCalister
- RB Dare Ogunbowale
- DB Orion Stewart
- DL Tavaris Barnes
Nicholson, 22, was taken in the fourth round of this year’s NFL draft by the Redskins.
