After selecting two defensive tackles in the NFL draft, the Redskins have cut bait with defensive lineman Terrell McClain.
The Redskins released McClain on Monday, according to ESPN.
McClain signed a four-year, $21 million deal in 2017 with the Redskins in free agency, but didn’t produce last season.
He had two sacks, though only appeared on 40 percent of the team’s defensive snaps. McClain also dealt with a toe injury that caused him to miss four games.
The move saves the Redskins $3.25 million in 2018. McClain agreed to restructure his contract in March, waiving the guaranteed portion of his base salary.
