The Redskins have made their first move after yesterday’s roster cutdowns. They have claimed former Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood who was cut yesterday. Smallwood(5’10”, 210lbs) was a former 5th round pick in 2016. He has started 12 games in his three years with the Eagles. Smallwood has 211 carries for 850 yards(4 ypc) and 5 TDs. He also had 47 receptions for 388 yards and TDs.
The Redskins currently have 5 RBs on the roster. Adrian Peterson, Derrius Guice, and Chris Thompson are the team’s top options.
