Redskins ‘aware of’ domestic violence accusation against rookie wide receiver Jamison Crowder

The Washington Redskins are aware of accusations of domestic abuse leveled against rookie wide receiver Jamison Crowder, and are working with the NFL to gain further details on the alleged incident, the team said in a statement Thursday afternoon.

Some time on Wednesday, a woman appeared to have posted accusations of abuse on Crowder’s Instagram account. The post included both a written account, and five pictures intended to serve as evidence of physical abuse allegedly caused by Crowder.

It wasn’t clear how recent the photographs were, or if any type of legal action has been or will be taken against Crowder.
