Redskins inactives
With injuries decimating the Redskins, quarterback Robert Griffin III was active for the first time this season Sunday afternoon against the New York Jets.
Team officials confirmed shortly before kickoff that rookie running back Matt Jones was out for the game, still ailing with the big toe sprain he suffered in the fourth quarter of last weekend’s overtime loss at Atlanta.
Jones will take his place on the sideline alongside wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who was ruled out on Saturday, still less than fully recovered from the hamstring strain he suffered in the first quarter of the season-opening loss to Miami.
