It hasn’t even been a day since the Case Keenum trade news hit and people have pretty split opinions on the deal. Washington will reportedly send a 6th round pick in 2020 to the Denver Broncos for QB Case Keenum and a 2020 7th round pick. Keenum’s contract will get reworked with the Redskins only owing him $3.5 million for this year.
The deal itself isn’t terrible, and it is pretty damn cheap for a backup/low end starter like Keenum. It’s easy to give this trade a good grade just for the value which the Redskins needed this season while they eat Alex Smith’s cap money.
