Philadelphia Eagles claim former Washington Redskins linebacker Steven Daniels off waivers

On Tuesday afternoon, the Washington Redskins made a few roster moves. They ended up waiving four players to make room for some of their rookie players, and one of them was a former seventh round draft pick. Steven Daniels was selected in that frame by former Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan. The Boston College linebacker had some upside, but he did not fit on the roster long term.

With the Redskins adding Zach Brown in free agency, the team had little need for the young linebacker. The team also added hybrid player Josh Harvey-Clemons during the draft, and he could end up seeing some time as a backup.
