Beating the New York Giants was always the minimum requirement for the Washington Commanders in Week 1. What comes next is far more important, and head coach Dan Quinn gets the chance to make a massive statement with the national spotlight glaring against the Green Bay Packers.
The Commanders' traveling to Lambeau Field on a short week isn't ideal. Quinn and his players are professional enough to roll with the punches, and their masterful management of difficult circumstances last season is enough to encourage fans.
Green Bay won't be doing the Commanders any favors.
