The Washington Redskins have selected USF center Austin Reiter with the 222nd pick in the seventh round of NFL Draft 2015. This makes the third offensive lineman that the Redskins have taken in NFL Draft 2015.
The Redskins have a solid center in Kory Lichtensteiger and he had a good season in 2014. But the problem is that they didn’t have a true backup at center as right guard Chris Chester performed those duties when Lichtensteiger had to come out games.
So Austin Reiter should have a chance to show what he can do and the fact that the Redskins are thin depth wise at center, this might give him an outside chance in making the team.
