It was quite a surprise to everyone that watched last week’s Redskins-Lions preseason game that Washington head coach Jay Gruden kept Robert Griffin III in for so long while he was thrown around by Detroit’s defense like a rag doll last Thursday night.
Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report contacted one NFL coach who told him that he believes Gruden doesn’t respect Griffin.
“I have never, ever, on any level, seen a head coach treat his quarterback with such a lack of respect,” the coach told Freeman.
The coach explained his reasoning by starting with the game tape of the offensive line.
