Mason Foster: 'I want to leave my mark in D.C.'

The Washington Redskins made re-signing Mason Foster a priority, thanks to the fact he can play both inside linebacker positions. They also know he played well down the stretch in 2016 and, despite his injury this season, feel he can do that again.

The Redskins still have to re-sign Zach Brown, though if his market goes north of $10 million per year (where the top three paid inside linebackers reside) that could make it tough. Brown played well next to Foster. Brown had to call signals for a few games and it’s not where he excels; he’s much, much better with someone who can handle that role.
