The second official announcement of the week is here, and it could start another set of moves that have been expected to happen since the GM search started. Marty Hurney is reuniting with Ron Rivera, but will have a different role for their third pairing. He was the Carolina Panthers GM who hired Rivera in 2011, and started his second stint in 2017.
Hurney was originally going to be the Washington Footnall Team’s New GM according to multiple reports, but those plans changed. Martin Mayhew was named the new GM, and now Hurney has been given the title of Executive Vice President of Football/Player Personnel.
