The Washington Commanders took a calculated risk by trading for wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. this offseason. Based on the early returns through five weeks, it's going to pay off handsomely.
With second-team All-Pro wideout Terry McLaurin out through injury, the Commanders needed more from Samuel. He's answered the call, providing accomplished production in the passing game while also showcasing his versatility with carries out of the backfield on occasion.
Samuel already has 30 receptions for 300 receiving yards through the opening five games of 2025. He's already matched his receiving touchdown total from last season with three.
