Jay Gruden acknowledges Bobby Wagner’s athletic limitations but says Washington needed to keep him

Former Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has turned into an exceptional football analyst since he began creating content and sharing his opinion. Furthermore, he could not be any happier with the success of the Washington Commanders throughout the 2024 season and will always have a connection to the team, giving plenty of his thoughts starting with “we” when discussing the team.

Heading into the start of free agency, the Commanders have begun re-signing some players. Tight ends Zach Ertz and John Bates, punter Tress Way, and kicker Zane Gonzalez have all re-signed with the team. The Commanders had also moved on from defensive tackle Jonathan Allen, releasing him before free agency officially began.
