Former Commanders draft bust already looks like a star on his new team

It was clear from a long way out that Jamin Davis was never going to work out with the Washington Commanders. However, the linebacker looks primed to make a significant difference for his new club in 2025.

The Commanders took Davis in the 2021 NFL Draft when most fans were clamoring for offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw. Ron Rivera thought his athletic attributes could make a big impact on the defensive second level, but the previous head coach never utilized his skills effectively.

Davis wasn't suited to the interior. The former first-round pick couldn't decipher run angles effectively enough and didn't have much support around him.
