There has been a lot of front office news today, and the Redskins are making official announcements quickly. It was reported today that the Redskins and Senior VP of Football Ops Eric Schaffer had mutually decided to part ways. The Redskins then confirmed it, releasing statements from the team and Schaffer.
His replacement was quickly named after it had been rumored for the past week. Rob Rogers was the Carolina Panthers Executive Director of Player Finance and Football Research. He will take over Schaffer's job for the Redskins.
The next announcement gives Doug William's a new job title.
