The rumors have been swirling for weeks that Jay Gruden will be fired sooner than later. Today the Redskins lost their 5th game of the 2019 season, and are 1-12 in their last 13 games. Washington has been getting blown out every week, and there seems to be no end to the bleeding. Firing Jay Gruden now does nothing to stop the dysfunction that has plagued this franchise for the last 20 years.
Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen typically stay at FedEx Field for hours after each game. That did not happen today, and they quickly sped away from the scene of the crime.
