Dallas Cowboys right guard Zack Martin hyperextended his left knee in the team’s preseason game Saturday, ESPN reported.
Martin will have an MRI Sunday.
Martin has been voted to the Pro Bowl every year of his four-year NFL career so far. He is also a two-time All-Pro selection. Martin is seen as one of the key cogs in the Dallas offensive line that’s praised as one of the best in the NFL.
Even if an MRI confirms that his knee is hyperextended, Martin’s upcoming absence from the playing field may not affect the NFC East rival Washington Redskins much.
