Commanders only needed one week for this offseason decision to look genius

By now, the hype surrounding rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt has reached absurd levels. In what had been building throughout the offseason, and specifically among the fantasy football community, the rookie finally hit the field in his regular season debut.

And, in that debut against the New York Giants, Croskey-Merritt delivered in spectacular fashion. When some might have expected the Commanders to ease him in and ride Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols a bit more, it was the seventh-round pick who didn't look back after receiving his first touch early in the second quarter.

How good was he?
