The Washington Commanders are 3-5 at midseason, an extreme letdown from the high hopes the team had entering the year. They'll have another chance to turn it around on Sunday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, but it might be their last.

This season's issues have predominantly been a product of injuries and age catching up to a roster built to cover for Washington's lack of developing pieces. That's an approach that must shift if the Commanders hope to be long-term contenders.

In the meantime, Washington does have one silver lining for the rest of 2025.
