Commanders gamble on bold signing to fight through injury crisis

It's no secret that the Washington Commanders are currently dealing with some injury turmoil. Dan Quinn is rolling with the punches, trying to ride the wave in pursuit of minimizing damage to the team's overall aspirations. Adam Peters is forming contingency plans as the hits continue to come.

The Commanders are depleted at the receiver position entering Week 5. Noah Brown has been out for a while after a disrupted summer on the health front. To make matters worse, second-team All-Pro wideout Terry McLaurin is currently on the shelf with a quad injury.

Quinn said that every injured player was pointing up.
