Brian Robinson Jr. is embarking on a new challenge after the Washington Commanders struck a trade with the San Francisco 49ers. And the running back was severely stung by general manager Adam Peters' ruthless decision.
Robinson went from a projected starter to being cast aside in the blink of an eye. The Commanders praised his application throughout the offseason, but the emergence of Chris Rodriguez Jr. and seventh-round rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt forced Peters into a change of plans.
Washington found a willing partner to take Robinson off the books. San Francisco coughed up a 2026 sixth-round selection for the Alabama product, who is set to provide a more physical presence capable of keeping All-Pro back Christian McCaffrey healthy.
