Brandon Scherff received the franchise tag this year, but says he’s not really worried about his contract this year. If he does everything right, everything will fall into place. He emphasized again that he wants to spend the rest of his career in Washington.
Scherff talked about recovering from the shoulder injury/surgery that ended his season, and rehabbing this year. He has been cleared, and is looking to older players like Ryan Kerrigan for tips on maintaining his body for the long haul in the league. Scherff said both his injuries the last two years were freak injuries.
