An example of an absolute All-Decade player at a position: L.T. aka Lawrence Taylor — a bad word for some Redskins fans (sorry, J.T.) — for a few seasons back in the 1980s, played like a man amongst boys.
These All-Decade players look like their play is against lesser competition. Elite, on a higher level, dominant, All-Pro, the list of adjectives can go on and on.
Most players, even the best player in an organization for the decade, will not make the All-Decade team. Most teams are lucky to get one player on this team.
This century, would the late Sean Taylor be the only Redskins player, while in their prime, with a spot on an All-Decade team if he’d had the chance?
