The Washington Redskins had a very weak defense during the 2016 season. There is no denying it. Despite adding Josh Norman to their team, the defense had issues in the front seven and the regression of No. 2 cornerback Bashaud Breeland led to issues with the unit. As a result, the team has been focusing on upgrading the defense this offseason, but they still have some holes.
Most notably, the holes on the team’s defense lie at the nose tackle position and at the No. 2 cornerback position. While Breeland has been a solid cornerback in the past, there is no guarantee that he will bounce back in 2017.
