Washington Commanders general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn spoke to the media on the eve of the team's first training camp practice. Unsurprisingly, there was one major issue at the top of every reporter's agenda.
That, of course, was wide receiver Terry McLaurin's contract extension.
McLaurin is still awaiting a new deal that hasn't arrived yet. Perhaps the most concerning element for fans is the lack of progress being made. Both sides haven't communicated effectively enough to get something worked out, which led the former third-round pick out of Ohio State to go in front of the media and voice his displeasure about the way negotiations are being handled.
