LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that acclaimed actress Bellamy Young, best known for her role as Mellie on ABC’s D.C.-based drama “Scandal” will attend the Redskins’ annual Draft Day Party FedExField on Saturday, April 30. Bellamy Young will announce the team’s fourth-round pick live accompanied by the British Ambassador to the United States, Sir Kim Darroch. The team’s second pick of Day 3 will be announced live on location by another special guest.
Young’s critically-praised performance as the politically ambitious First Lady has earned her a Best Supporting Actress award from the Critics’ Choice Television Awards, Entertainment Weekly’s 25 Best Characters on TV, 15 on Entertainment Weekly’s 50 Best TV Scenes of the Year, New York Post’s Top 10 TV Actors and she earned TV Guide Magazine’s Fan Favorite Award.
