Washington Capitals sign forward Michael Vecchione

The Washington Capitals made a move for their AHL partners the Hershey Bears by signing forward Michael Vecchione to a one year, two way contract. He will make $750,000 in the NHL and $195,000 in the AHL.

The 28 year old recorded 10 points with seven goals and three assists in 18 games with the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League last season which tied him for the third most in goals on the squad.

The five foot 10, 194 pound forward entered the 2020-21 season with three straight AHL seasons with at least 36 points including a career high of 40 points during the 2017-18 season as a member of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms with 17 goals and 23 assists.
