Washington Capitals re-sign Shane Gersich to one year deal

The Washington Capitals have re-signed Shane Gersich once again, this time extending him to a one year, two way contract where he will make $750,000 in the NHL and $187,500 in the AHL the team announced on Saturday.

Last season the 24 year old recorded 14 points with six goals and eight assists in 33 games with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL). The five foot 11, 180 pound forward finished the pandemic shortened 2019-20 season with 18 points with a career high 10 goals in 54 games with the Bears to go along with eight assists.
