It was another slow start for the Washington Capitals, as Patrice Bergeron put the Bruins on the board first 7:11 into the game. His goal came off of a nice feed via Brad Marchand.
After going scoreless for the rest of the period, Boston appeared to take a 2-0 lead when Torey Krug collected a wild rebound off of Philipp Grubauer’s pads, cut to the middle and buried a wrister past the Caps goaltender.
