Washington Capitals: Breaking down big news of normalcy at Capital One Arena

Washington Capitals and Wizards fans will soon be able to watch their teams play at Capital One Arena. Monumental Sports’ waiver to D.C. was approved by Mayor Muriel Bowser and city officials effective immediately. The Nationals and D.C. United meanwhile will up their capacity to 25 percent while the Caps and Wizards will start off with 10 percent.

That will be about 2,100 lucky fans. The Washington Mystics of the WNBA also got approved to host 450 fans at Entertainment and Sports Arena. The Nats opened their season with 5,000 fans on Tuesday and had a doubleheader on Wednesday.
