The undrafted right winger spent four seasons with the Calgary Flames and comes off a career season last year with career-highs in goals with 11 and points with 19 while adding 11 assists.
Prior to going pro, Hathaway attended college at Brown University and played hockey for the NCAA Division-1 Brown Bears.
