Washingon Capitals continue Prospect Showcase Sunday vs. Nashville Predators

The Washington Capitals prospects will look to continue their strong play today at 2 p.m. eastern, 1 p.m. central against the Nashville Predators, the team hosting the Prospect Showcase.

The Capitals are coming off a 10-3 win over the Hurricanes in a game that saw Brian Pinho and Martin Fehervary light the lamp twice. Ilya Samsonov had a good outing in net, not only stopping 37 of the 40 shots he faced in regulation but all five skaters in the shootout round. Pinho, Bobby Nardella and Joe Snively each had three points.

The Capitals scored three goals in the first and second periods and added four in the third while Shane Gersich was the lone Capitals player to score in the shootout round.
