There is a beer league team in Laurel, Md. called Cliff Puckstable and their mascot is, obviously, Bill Cosby as The Cosby Show’s Cliff Huxtable.
Cosby, as you may know, has been accused of rape by multiple women. The team, however, has been around long before the widespread allegations, so it’s not like they were trying to be jerks and name their team after an accused rapist. Also, I’m sure these jerseys weren’t cheap, so changing them up is an expensive endeavor. However, they did say they’re considering it regardless.
This team isn’t the only ones who kept Cosby’s image around after the rape allegations.
