The South Carolina Stingrays have already locked up home ice in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs but they are still looking to finish atop the South Division. With a 4-0-0 week, the Stingrays now sit five points back of the Florida Everblades with seven to play.
Monday night, Steven Whitney did it all for the Stingrays in their 3-2 shootout win over the Atlanta Gladiators. Whitney scored, had an assist on Joey Leach‘s third period goal that tied the game, and then scored the game winning shootout goal. The win was Parker Milner‘s 22nd and he made 24 saves in the effort.
