Stingrays Fall 2-1 in Overtime, Are on Brink of Elimination

Mason Mitchell, who is the Rays’ only goal scorer of the series, would open up the scoring with 12:13 to play in the middle frame. Orlando would respond, scoring on what developed into a four-on-two rush to tie the game with 3:14 to play in the period.

The Stingrays had a chance to win it in overtime when the Solar Bears were called for a too many men on the ice penalty, but instead Hunter Fejes went end to end and scored to win the game for Orlando, giving them a 3-0 series lead. Heeter made 49 saves in the win and Parker Milner stopped 28 in the loss.
