Stingrays Fall 2-1 in Game 2, Drop First Two Games At Home

The South Carolina Stingrays surrendered two goals in the second period, enough for them to fall on home ice once more to the Orlando Solar Bears. The Rays now find themselves in a 0-2 hole to start the series with the next three games in Orlando.

Max Novak opened the scoring on the power play for the Solar Bears less than a minute into the second period. Then with the period winding down, the Rays committed a brutal defensive zone turnover and J.J. Piccinich made them pay, giving the Solar Bears a 2-0 lead after two frames.

The Rays would get a goal from Mason Mitchell to cut the lead in half with half a period to play.
