BOSTON – Stanislav Galiev understood the factors that have contributed to him not playing in more than three weeks. Though the Capitals have run into some injuries, there’s still right wings ahead of him. There was also a nine-game winning streak that prevented any lineup changes.
And while Galiev said he was a “team player” and took the string of healthy scratches in stride, it wasn’t easy.
“It’s kind of frustrating to watch the game from the press box,” Galiev said. “You always want to be on the ice and help your teammates and get those two points and just to be around the team on the ice.
