Siegenthaler Gets First Two-Point Game

Just a few weeks ago, Jonas Siegenthaler scored his first NHL goal, a full year after his first game. Wednesday’s 4-3 Caps victory gave the 22-year-old defenseman another first-time stat – a two assist night.

Siegenthaler assisted on Richard Panik’s second period goal, and got a secondary assist on Brendan Leipsic’s game-winning goal in the third period.

But to Siegenthaler didn’t see anything special in the way he played.

“It wasn’t like, crazy plays. I passed to Gudy (Radko Gudas), Gudy passed to Leiper (Leipsic), and he scored.
