Nicklas Backstrom, Braden Holtby and Tom Wilson went to Hendley Elementary School in D.C. on Friday to help renovate the gym for the upcoming year with Heart of America through the So Kids Can program.

This past season, the players and Elliot Segal of The Elliot in the Morning Show donated $50 per Caps win, helping to raise more than $60,000.

Back in November, they brought 75 laptops and 45 tablets that Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation, the charitable arm of the Washington Capitals, donated to the school.
So Kids Can was created in 2008 by former Cap Mike Green and Segal to benefit youth-focused, nonprofit organizations.
