Ovechkin Skates With Kids From American Special Hockey Association

Arlington – For the fifth consecutive year, Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin hosted a skating session with the American Special Hockey Association at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. The event consisted of more than 80 skaters from the Baltimore Saints, Montgomery Cheetahs, Nova Cool Cats and Washington Ice Dogs team.

“This is an amazing incredible experience for the kids, I remember when we started a few years ago most of them didn’t even know how to skate,” said Jennifer O’Brien, Executive Director of the American Special Hockey Association. She said that the group consists of kids, age 7 and older and with any type of disability.
