NHL 20: Simulating Capitals end of season results

Despite a couple of questionable losses the Washington Capitals finished up another season finishing atop of the Metropolitan Division with a 46-30-6 record in our NHL 20 simulations.

That’s respectable and close to where we think the actual Capitals could end up as if they choose to finish the regular season. Their record is 41-20-8.

They finished with 98 points, two points ahead of the second place Carolina Hurricanes and four points ahead of the third place Pittsburgh Penguins. The New Jersey Devils finished fourth while Barry Trotz’s New York Islanders finished fifth.

Coming in sixth is the New York Rangers while seventh is the Philadelphia Flyers and finally the Columbus Blue Jackets.
