After months of fighting the Montgomery County government over a backyard ice rink, named after his late stepdaughter, Marc Kohn and Montgomery County have reached a compromise. The country has agreed to build a synthetic ice rink in Poolesville, Maryland using existing county funds. Kohn told me that he “…can’t believe how things have turned out. It’s the best of both worlds. A true win, win for me, and the town.”
Growing up, I would always be watching the nationally televised games, whether or mot it was the Caps. I was always jealous to see kids outside playing hockey in backyard rinks.
