The Hershey Bears and Washington Capitals made history this week.
For the first time in franchise history, there will be a female coach in the Washington Capitals organization. The Hershey Bears have named Emily Engel-Natzke the team’s video coach. The Bears are Washington’s AHL affiliate and their agreement recently was extended.
Previously the 29 year old worked at the University of Wisconsin as the assistant director of operations as well as the video coordinator. Engel-Natzke, worked with the men’s and women’s hockey teams from 2015 through 2017 and only the men’s after 2017.
