Hampus Gustafsson Scores His First Professional Goal

Capitals prospect Hampus Gustafsson scored his fist professional goal Friday as the South Carolina Stingrays beat the Norfolk Admirals 3-2 in overtime. The other two goal scorers were also Caps prospects in Tim McGauley and Kris Bindulis.

Gustafsson, 24, was not drafted. He played 10 games in Hershey last year after finishing his collegiate career at Merrimack College. This season he has bounced around between Hershey and South Carolina. He has two assists in 14 games for Hershey this year. In South Carolina, he now has a goal and an assist in 10 games.
