Garnet Hathaway Is Nominee for King Clancy Memorial Trophy

(via the Caps)

It’s been a great first season for Caps grinder Garnet Hathaway, who recently got his first bobblehead via Inova, and is now the team’s nominee for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy.

The trophy is awarded to “to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”

Hathaway’s “Hath’s Heroes” program gives Caps tickets local first responders, and he meets with them after the games to give them a tour.
