Caps Outsider is absolutely heartbroken that defenseman Nate Schmidt will be heading to Las Vegas, as Golden Knights GM George McPhee swooped in and stole him from us.
Sure, Schmidt’s impact on the ice will be hard to fill for the Caps, but his warm personality and constant smile behind the scenes will also be dearly missed.
Schmidt will be one of those players who Caps fans will likely always be rooting for. I mean, how can you not love this face?
