First kicked off the alumni game between Hershey and the Philadelphia Flyers. Some names for the Flyers were Eric Lindros, John LeClair and Danny Breire. The big name for Hershey was Raymond Bourque, father of Chris Bourque (current Bears forward) and NHL Hall of Fame class of 2004. The Bears would go on to defeat the Flyers 9-5.
The following day, the Outdoor Classic moved to the actual game where Lehigh Valley Phantoms would go on to win 5-2 over the Hershey Bears in a very exciting but cold day.
After the games, Jerseys were auctioned off for charities.
